USA Mitchell Center The University of South Alabama's Mitchell Center has the capability to facilitate various events including NCAA and NBA basketball games, concerts, trade shows and family entertainment. There is seating for 10,000 and a state-of-the-art video, sound and sports lighting system. The Mitchell Center also has the ability to accommodate banquets, weddings, receptions and other specialty engagements. |

Mobile Tennis Center Among the city's most unique sporting venues is the Mobile Tennis Center, with 50 hard courts and seating for up to 1,000 people. It is the largest publicly owned tennis facility in the country. The Center hosted both the 2004 and 2005 Alabama Adult League Tennis Championships. Many different events can be hosted here. The Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) named the Copeland-Cox Mobile Tennis Center as the nation's best public tennis facility in 2008. |
